Ali Keshavarz
Tennis Coach in Los Angeles, California
Tennis has been part of my life for 11 years, and coaching is the part I've enjoyed most. My job is to make progress feel obvious. Lessons stay structured and focused, and you'll walk off the court knowing exactly what improved and what we're working on next. Every lesson is built around the person in front of me. Some players want technique broken down piece by piece. Others want to be pushed and play points right away. I'll ask what you're after, and we'll build from there. Not sure if we'd be a good fit? Send me a message. I'm always glad to talk it through before you book. See you on the court!

Coaching that meets you where you are
I coach players ages 5 and up in Santa Monica and the surrounding Westside, including students looking for adaptive tennis lessons. Wherever you're starting from, the aim is the same: better technique, sharper footwork, smarter strategy, and more confidence every time you step on court. Tennis has been part of my life for 11 years, and I've spent the last six coaching. Every lesson starts the same way. I watch how you move and play, ask what you want out of tennis, and build the session around what I see. Some players want technique explained step by step. Others would rather play points and be challenged early. Either way, you get clear feedback, patience where it's needed, and high expectations throughout. Maybe tennis has started to feel frustrating. Maybe you just want it to feel fun again. Either way, you'll leave knowing what improved and what we're working on next.

“Ali has been an amazing tennis coach. He is patient, kind, and always makes sure I understand what we’re working on. He constantly asks if I have any questions and takes the time to explain things clearly. He pays close attention to my technique, notices what I’m doing, and gives helpful corrections that have really improved my game. I truly enjoy every lesson and highly recommend him to anyone looking to learn or improve their tennis. He is also very punctual. Thank you, Ali! I’m looking forward to continuing my lessons with him!”

Ali has been amazing with our 13-year-old, who’s just getting back into tennis after a long break. Ali is patient and encouraging, but also keeps high expectations—helping our son stay focused and confident. He adjusts his lessons thoughtfully when it’s hot or when our son gets frustrated, always turning setbacks into learning moments. He’s knowledgeable, observant, and makes every session productive and positive. Highly recommend!

Ali was awesome! I felt like he really listened to us and our concerns in our game. He had us work on drills and was super patient while giving us helpful tips to correct out form. We ended our lesson with a rally so we could apply everything we just learned. Thanks, Ali! Looking forward to the next one :)
